With friends, enemies there is no gray area

Why is there such a word as frenemies? I miss the days when you just had friends and enemies.

Although many might conclude that I shouldn't remember anything before the era of two words meshing (i.e., Brangelina, Bennifer, etc.), I'd like to think of myself as wiser beyond my years.

For that, I can reminisce when you had your friends and your enemies. And if any of your friends even blinked at one of your enemies, you two were done. The end of your friendships would succumb to the time-slowing stare down in the hallways between lunch and recess.

Now, you have to be nice to your enemies, hence frenemies. This idea is so idiotic. Why have a gray area title when you're feelings about them are most definitely clear?

You loathe her clothes, the way she walks and you hate her with the fire of a thousand suns.  think one should respect their feelings and hate her day in and day out with no one telling you to "just get along."

The point is, don’t hide your feelings because someone told you to. You don’t have to be nice.
