Students gathered in the gym on Feb. 9 for the University’s Spirit Night hosted by Student Development And Campus Activities (SDACA). The University’s basketball teams from PLV came to the NYC to play the South Connecticut Owls and won. The PLV dance team also tagged along and performed a halftime show. A basketball shooting contest took place with one lucky raffle winner having the chance to win $15,000. DJ Spynfo kept the crowd lively the entire night along with the PLV cheerleaders. A face painting station was available for those who wanted to artistically express their pride for the University. Many organizations participated in a banner decorated contest to display their school spirit with Residential Hall Association (RHA) placing first, with Jumpstart and ASPIRE being runner-ups. A raffle also took place at the end of the night with prizes including an iPod Touch, a manicure, a eyebrow waxing, Edible Arrangement bouquet and much more.
