Learn interview etiquette
This semester the University's New York City Co-Op and Career Center is offering a variety of informational and fun events.
On Oct. 21, "Networking 2.0: Advanced Networking Skills" will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Dyson Conference Room on the 16th floor of 41 Park Row. This event will show you how to use networking as a way to find a job, learn more about a certain career and make beneficial connections.
Also on Oct. 21, the center will be holding an "Internship 101: Co-Op Information Session." This will take place at One Pace Plaza in the Multipurpose Room from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The next week, on Oct. 28, "Dining Etiquette" will be held and co-sponsored by ASCEND.
The event shows students how to network over dinner rolls and not stress about which utensil is the soup spoon. The location is still unknown, but the time will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Calling all photographers
They say a picture is worth a thousand words and at the University is it worth a pair of movie tickets and their photo spotlight in the upcoming Pace Magazine.
The theme of the contest is to capture political activism, community organizing or volunteer work.
The deadline for entries is Oct. 31 and entries should be sent to photos@pace.edu.
Only current University student entries will be considered and there is no limit to the amount submitted. All photos must be in the format of jpeg, tiff or raw and must be high resolution.
If there are any participants in your photos, have their contact information ready to be entered along with their permission.
All submissions will become property of the University and have the chance to be used in the University's future marketing plans.
