New marketing slogan fails to encompass true University experience

Now I know I may have missed the boat on the reshaping of the University's outward image, but on every occasion that I come across "Work Toward Greatness," I have to ask myself if we haven't lost a sentiment that is uniquely ours. Opportunitas, for thousands has meant a great deal, though for the new age student, we have been led to believe that the Latin falls on deaf ears.

Senior Administration: I was pleased to see the attention the Pace Press devoted to the important issue of diversity ("Faculty-wide diversity needed for comprehensive education," April 16.). On all Pace campuses, diversity, nondiscrimination, and inclusiveness are important values that play a significant role in the social and intellectual life of the University.

In Memory of Dr. James Hall

On April 23 Dr. James Hall, Associate Dean and Director of Graduate Programs for the Lubin School of Business, passed away. In a recent memorandum addressed to the University, Dean of the Lubin School Joseph Baczko eloquently said, "Lubin and Pace have become far richer institutions of learning for his involvement and guidance.
