Provostial decision remains inconclusive

The recent appointment of Brackett as provost may be perceived as a beneficial method of action to some, but the details and timeline of the decision are questionable to students. In an Oct. 24, 2007 interview with The Press, President Stephen J. Friedman said, "There was no time to do a national search," but the announcement of Geoffrey Brackett's position solidification came five months later.

Error not surprising

I understand the concept of an apology. It's used when a person or group of people -in this case, the Administration - wish to somehow reverse the effects of their actions. But how is it that an apology is suppose to quell the fears of students who read in three different places on the University website that commuter meal plans are rising to $775.

So um as I was saying - Oh, no you go ahead. No er - sorry…Go ahead.

There he was, his trademark spiky hair and vest over a t-shirt despite the 20 degree weather. He kept stealing furtive - almost reproachful - glances my way as I selected a pole to hold on to on the bus. He was my best friend's brother's classmate's friend's boyfriend, presumably taking the bus to his high school that morning.
