As the list of democratic presidential nominees withers down, the realization that one of these guys will be running against President Bush next November becomes more of a reality.

Now, if you are asking yourself what differentiates these six men from each other, don't worry anymore. Below you will find the stances of Wesley Clark, Dennis Kucinich and John Edwards on major policy issues: Higher Education, Healthcare, National Security, the Environment, and the Economy.

The other nominees' policy, providing no one ELSE drops out, will appear in next week's edition.

Wesley Clark

Higher Education: Clark proposes to make the first two years of public college free to most students with a universal college grant of $6,000. He will assign twenty billion dollars to the "State and Local Tax Rebate Fund," which will allow colleges to maintain current costs without raising tuition prices.

Healthcare: Clark wants to establish a system that grants free healthcare to every child and young adult under the age of 22. For our parents who do not receive healthcare coverage from their workplace, Clark will grant them the same coverage as members of Congress.

National Security: Clark pledges to bring home the troops when Iraq is capable of functioning on its own, and in the meantime, ask for UN support. He proposes the creation of the Department of International Development, which will develop plans, programs and personnel structures to assist in political and economic development abroad.

Environment: Clark will initiate limits on the four major pollutants emitted from power plants, which will reduce air pollution levels.

Economy: Clark's economic plan, "Saving for America's Future," will save 2.3 trillion dollars over the next ten years and will reduce the countries deficit. He will reinstate the income taxes for only those families that earn over $200,000 a year. His three-pronged "Job Creation Plan" will stimulate the economy and develop a $100 billion dollar strategy for the creation of jobs.

Dennis Kucinich

Higher Education: Kucinich would provide tuition-free education for millions of students attending public universities.

Healthcare: Kucinich's plan, "Medicare for All," is a universal healthcare system that will cover the forty million citizens without coverage and emphasize patient choice. He plans to remove all private insurance companies from the American healthcare system.
