Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner battle in Daredevil

Daredevil Cast: Ben Affleck (Changing Lanes), Jennifer Garner (Catch Me If You Can), Michael Clarke Duncan (The Scorpion King) Colin Farrell (The Recruit) Director: Mark Steven Johnson Release Date: February 14th

This movie reeked of Spiderman. By the end of it, I was actually hoping the bad guys would win. Ben Affleck is a terrible choice for Daredevil; he's too much of a pretty boy.

Jennifer Garner plays Electra Natchios: a Greek fallen debutant who's familiar with every martial art known to man. But here's where Electra's character is tragically flawed: anyone, man or woman, who dares take a swing at a blind man, belongs in prison.

Time for a brief synopsis: Daredevil is pursued by a psychotic Irishman named Bullseye (Farrell). Bullseye is an assassin with perfect aim who kills his victims with throwing stars and office supplies. Though in one respect I envy him, (I mean who wouldn't want to be able to throw a pencil through an olive), I found his character hard to believe. And why is he Irish? Anyway, Daredevil gets the best of Bullseye and goes after the Kingpin (Duncan). Again, Daredevil triumphs, but spares Kingpin's life. That's crap. I came looking for death; if I wanted a moral I would have gone and read Aesop.

All in all, the movie was just a little worse than OK. Its special effects were probably the only redeeming quality and they were no less than incredible. And Jennifer Garner dies. Still, I was not that entertained. But hey, I didn't really like Spiderman either.
